RAM
Acronym for Random Access Memory. The RAM refers to a type of memory used in computers and mobile phones to store provisional data. With a fast read capability as compared to a hard disk drive, the RAM allows a smoother use of the workstation.
Rather than retrieving the information from the hard drive, the operating system loads the necessary data into the RAM so you can access it instantly.
