To simplify Cloud and Telecoms, we also need to be able to explain them clearly and concisely. Find the definition of the most common terms used in our business.
ADSL
Acronym for "Asymmetrical Digital Subscriber Line".
Based on the DSLtechnology (digital data transmission over the copper pairs of telephone lines), ADSL is asymmetrical because the download speed is higher than the upload speed.
ADSL is available in partial unbundling (retaining the underlying line to use for a fax, payment terminal or analogue telephone) or full unbundling (free of analogue line.)
