vCPU
vCPU is an acronym for Virtual Central Processing Unit. In many virtualisation systems, hardware components are split into different virtual machines that can provide the same functionality as traditional computer workstations. The vCPU is part of a physical CPU assigned to a virtual machine (VM). In a cloud environment, one or more vCPUs are assigned to each VM. Every vCPU is considered as one CPU by the VM.
