Privacy Policy
1. Definitions All terms used with a capital letter, whether singular or plural, have the meaning given to them by the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR 2016/679) of the European Union.
2. Scope This privacy policy aims to define the rules applicable to SEWAN, as the Data Controller, when it processes the Personal Data of candidates for a job or internship offer.
3. What operations do we perform on this data? To answer this question, it is necessary to distinguish whether the job offer is issued by SEWAN or one of its subsidiaries.
Recruiter - Operations performed on personal data:
SEWAN: We analyze and evaluate your applications.
SEWAN subsidiary: We forward the applications to the department issuing the job offer.
4. What personal data is processed? When you apply for a job or an internship, the following Personal Data is processed:
- Name, first name, email address, and phone number.
- All personal data contained in your CV and possibly your cover letter: date of birth, postal address, type of driving license, profile photo, social network profiles, field of activity, years of experience, professional address, position held, language, education level, training, diploma, interests, desired salary level.
- Your cover letter.
- Sensitive Data such as health data that you declare is collected and stored only if required by law, regulation, or court decision, and is used and disclosed only to the extent necessary to meet these obligations.
- All Personal Data you voluntarily provide in your application comments.
5. For what purposes is personal data processed? Personal Data is collected and processed for the following purposes:
- To evaluate your application based on the position you are applying for and to contact you if your application interests us.
- To build a candidate database and a CV library.
- To forward applications to the departments issuing the offer.
6. How long is your personal data retained? Your personal data is retained for two (2) years from the communication of the Personal Data. During this period, you may be contacted if a position could match your profile. During this period, you can exercise your rights at any time to modify or delete your personal data. Your data will be destroyed within a maximum of one (1) month from your request.
7. To whom is the personal data we collect transmitted?
- You applied for a SEWAN offer: Your personal data is communicated to the recruitment service, which depends on our human resources department, as well as to the managers and members of the department to which you applied.
- You applied for an offer from a SEWAN subsidiary: Your personal data is communicated to our subsidiaries SEWAN ESPANA or SEWAN BELGIUM.
8. On what basis do we process your personal data? We process your personal data based on your consent.
9. Is your personal data communicated to third parties outside the EU? No, your personal data is hosted in France and is not transmitted to third parties outside the EU.
10. What security measures apply to the processing of Personal Data? SEWAN teams are aware of issues related to the protection of Personal Data. We implement technical and organizational measures to ensure the confidentiality and security of your Personal Data to prevent and avoid, as much as possible, any alteration, loss, or unauthorized access to it.
11. What are your rights over your personal data? You have the right to request:
- Access and consultation of your personal data and to know what personal data we process.
- Rectification of your personal data.
- In certain conditions, the erasure of your personal data.
- In certain conditions, the restriction of processing.
- Portability of your personal data.
- To determine the fate of your personal data in the event of death.
To exercise your rights, you must send us a request mentioning your name and first name. The request must be sent by email to dpo@sewan.fr or to the postal address: SEWAN Comité DPO, 2 cité Paradis, 75010 Paris.
The Belgian supervisory authority is the Data Protection Authority (DPA), you can file a complaint via its website www.autoriteprotectiondonnees.be ; and in certain determined cases, directly online.
