Paris, May 10, 2023 - French telecom centaur Sewan, which recently celebrated its 15th anniversary and expects to generate 200 million euros in revenues in 2023, is banking on an acquisition strategy to expand its European presence.
Its objective? To appropriately address the various national markets and strengthen its proximity to its partners wherever its solutions are distributed. After initiating its international development in 2016 in Spain, then in Belgium in 2019, and in Germany in 2020, Sewan continues its external growth and announces today its merger with the Dutch telecom services provider Pocos. Sewan, a major player, is thus consolidating its presence in Europe, with Pocos becoming the Sewan Netherlands entity.
Pocos, a solid base to build Sewan Netherlands
Founded in 2002 by Simon Poels and Jordi Smits and based in Eindhoven, Pocos has been offering smart solutions in the Connectivity, Telephony, Cloud Services and Mobile market segments to Dutch companies for over 20 years. A telecom operator with a business model based on indirect sales, Pocos currently employs 25 people and expects to achieve revenues of more than €8 million by 2022. Pulse, the Pocos platform developed in-house, adds value to the telecom solutions offered to its partners: management and purchase of offers, technical assistance and 24/7 supervision.
A new key step in the group's international development
The Sewan Group aims to offer seamless telecom services throughout Europe. To achieve this, the scale-up is banking on an acquisition strategy in its pan-European deployment. It initiated its international development in 2016 in Spain (through the acquisition of VoIP expert Vozelia), then in Belgium in 2019 (this time through the acquisition of 3starsNet), and finally in Germany in 2020 (via the acquisition of 42one): all companies that Sewan has been able to integrate with agility into the group.
Having become a major European player, Sewan intends to continue in this direction and remains attentive to potential opportunities for rapprochement in neighbouring countries.
